Continuity billing merchant accounts for trial and negative-option models.
Trial-to-paid and continuity models are the most scrutinised billing structure in card payments. Visa and Mastercard have specific disclosure, reminder and cancellation rules, and acquirers price the dispute risk accordingly. KLAUDE arranges acquiring for continuity merchants that run the model properly, and shows you what "properly" means before you apply.
What makes payments difficult in this category
- Card-scheme trial and subscription disclosure rules
- Elevated chargeback ratios from unclear conversions
- Acquirers that exclude negative-option models outright
- Reserves and caps driven by category history
How KLAUDE approaches it
- Acquirers with defined continuity programmes
- Checkout, reminder and cancellation flows aligned with scheme rules
- Pre-dispute alerts to keep ratios inside thresholds
- Descriptor and customer-service testing before go-live
Eligibility and compliance
Trial terms, renewal pricing, billing frequency and cancellation method must be disclosed at checkout and in reminders as required by card-scheme rules. Deceptive enrolment practices are not supported.
KLAUDE does not assist any business in evading banking rules, sanctions, KYC/AML obligations, card-network requirements or regulation. Final acceptance is determined by acquiring-partner underwriting.

Does KLAUDE support high-risk merchants?
Yes. Many of the businesses we work with would be labelled "high risk" by mainstream processors. We prefer to think in terms of complex requirements rather than risk labels, but the practical answer is that we arrange acquiring for categories most providers decline — provided the business is lawful, licensed where required and willing to meet acquirer standards.
How long does merchant onboarding take?
Our initial review typically takes a few business days. Acquirer underwriting then ranges from under a week for straightforward profiles to several weeks for complex or licensed categories. The largest factor is how complete your documentation is — we give you a checklist up front so nothing is missing.
Can KLAUDE provide multiple merchant accounts?
Where it makes sense, yes. Multiple MIDs across different acquirers give you redundancy and allow volume to be spread. Note that card-scheme rules prohibit using multiple accounts to disguise volume or evade monitoring programmes; we only structure multi-acquirer setups for legitimate resilience and optimisation purposes.
Can KLAUDE help with international payment processing?
Yes. We arrange local acquiring and local payment methods in Europe, the UK, North America, LATAM and APAC where your business profile qualifies. Some markets require a local entity or licence; we explain those requirements before you commit.
Which currencies are supported?
Presentment in 100+ currencies and settlement in major currencies including EUR, GBP and USD are available depending on the acquiring partner. Exact currency support is confirmed during placement.
