KLAUDE works with lawful businesses that meet the standards of the card schemes, acquiring partners and regulators in the markets they serve. We do not arrange or support services for the following. [LEGAL REVIEW: confirm against partner prohibited-merchant lists.]
Prohibited
- Any activity that is illegal in the merchant's jurisdiction, the customer's jurisdiction or the acquiring partner's jurisdiction
- Unlicensed activity in regulated categories, including unlicensed gambling, financial services, lending, crypto-asset services or pharmaceuticals
- Sale of controlled substances, illegal drugs or drug paraphernalia; cannabis products where unlawful
- Counterfeit goods, intellectual-property infringement, or unauthorised resale of restricted products
- Weapons, ammunition and related items where restricted
- Any content or service involving minors in an unlawful or exploitative manner, non-consensual content, or content that violates card-scheme standards
- Fraud, deceptive marketing, pyramid or Ponzi schemes, unauthorised subscription or negative-option practices
- Money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions evasion, or transactions with sanctioned persons, entities or territories
- Transaction laundering — processing payments for an undisclosed third party or through an unrelated merchant account
- Use of multiple merchant accounts to evade chargeback monitoring or card-scheme rules
- Hate speech, incitement to violence or harassment
Requirements
Merchants must maintain accurate business information, keep websites, descriptors and policies compliant with card-scheme rules, hold and keep current any required licences, and cooperate with due-diligence and monitoring requests from KLAUDE and its partners.
Enforcement
KLAUDE may decline, suspend or withdraw from any engagement that breaches this policy, and may report activity to partners and authorities where required by law.
